Words Of LOVE

Obituary

Lena Pryor was born on Sept 16, 1981 in Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, Long Island NY. Born to Christine Pryor and Devon Mathis,Lena was a beautiful baby with a head full of hair. Lena went to school in Huntington and later finished her schooling in Wyandanch all the way to Wyandanch Jr./Sr High. Lena was always a hard worker starting her first job at Camp Gambia At 14 yrs old. Later she went to Bradford Hall and completed her training in medical billing.
In 2006 Lena contracted a common virus that affected the strength of her heart. This caused many drastic life changes, and tough decisions had to be made.
With the doctors advice and the support of her entire loving family,Lena had the surgeries. To help safeguard her hearts stability a defibrillator device was put in her chest to monitor her health from within. These events normally mean the end of peoples life as they know it. Not for Lena she refused to let any of those thing bring her down. That is because she loved her life too much to let it bring her down.
Two years later Lena was given the greatest news she ever heard, she was going to have a baby. Her doctors were highly concerned for Lena life, the risks were too high.
They advised her to get an ABORTION. Saying to her that she could die or the baby, or BOTH. Lena was adamant about the birth of her child saying "I'M NOT GOING TO KILL MY BABY".
It was too important to her. Since she was told she could never have one.
On Dec 17,2009 Lena gave birth to her beautiful daughter Katilyn Christine Pryor. Her daughter since she was born has had many complications. Some that required many serious surgeries. Lena never stopped fighting to ensure the future of her daughter. Through sleepless nights and tireless surgeries,Lena pushed on.
She stayed smiling and enjoying life
with her daughter and family all the way to today. All while keeping the worries of her OWN pain from everyone. Lena Pryor sat down to exhale after a hard week of work at her new job .On July 21,2016 she passed the torch on to us,not because she gave up,but all torches must be eventually passed on. Now let us all remember her run, and continue the race until we too pass the torch.

THANK YOU LENA IT WAS AN HONOR TO BE ABLE TO EMBRACE THE JOY THAT SPREADED OUT OF YOUR SOUL.
